To say where someone is from, we use the country: She's from Mexico. To say what they are, we use the nationality: She's Mexican. The language can be different from the nationality: in Mexico, people speak Spanish.
Many nationalities end in -ish, -an, -ian or -ese, and they always start with a capital letter.
Hi, I'm Carmen and I'm from Granada. Last summer I went to an international camp in Ireland. There were children from all over the world! My roommate, Lena, was from Austria, so she spoke German. I don't speak German, so we always talked in English. Diego came from Argentina, and we spoke Spanish together. Priya was from India: she could speak Hindi and English. On the last day, we all cooked a typical dish from our countries. I made a Spanish omelette!
