Learning words by topics helps you remember them: jobs (nurse, mechanic), places in town (bank, cinema), transport (lorry, coach), feelings (happy, angry)…
When you don't know a word, use the context: The mechanic repaired our car → mechanic = mecánico. Other useful words: timetable (horario), recipe (receta), screen (pantalla), luggage (equipaje).
