We use play with ball games and other games (play basketball, play cards), go with activities ending in -ing (go cycling) and do with martial arts and other activities (do karate, do aerobics).
After like, love, enjoy, hate and be good at, the verb ends in -ing: I love dancing. She's good at painting. Some verbs double the last letter: run → running, sit → sitting.
Hi! I'm Nora and I'm crazy about climbing. I go to the climbing wall at the sports centre twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. My best friend, Hugo, isn't very sporty. He prefers making things: he builds model planes and he's really good at painting them.
Hugo's brother, Marc, does karate. He has an important competition next month, so now he trains every day after school. On Saturday mornings, the three of us go cycling along the river together.
