An informal email to a friend starts with Hi Pablo, and ends with Love, or See you soon! A formal email starts with Dear Mrs Jones, and ends with Yours sincerely,
To tell a friend what happened, use the past simple: regular verbs add -ed (play → played) and irregular verbs change (see → saw, take → took).

Hi Pablo,
Thanks for your last email. I'm sorry I didn't write back sooner, but last week my class went on a school trip to Edinburgh! We travelled by train and the journey took four hours. On the first day, we visited the castle. It was cold and windy, but the views were amazing. On Wednesday it rained all day, so we went to a science museum. My favourite part was the planetarium. I bought a postcard for you and it's on its way.
Next month my family is going to visit Spain. We're going to stay in Valencia for a week. Could we meet? I'd love to try a real paella!
Best wishes,
Chloe
P.S. Say hello to your sister.
