Para decir dónde está un lugar usamos next to (al lado de), opposite (enfrente de), between … and … (entre … y …) y on your left / on your right (a tu izquierda / a tu derecha). Ejemplo: The bank is between the café and the library.

Usamos there is con singular y there are con plural; some en frases afirmativas y any en preguntas y negativas. Ojo: library es biblioteca; una librería es una bookshop.

Hi! I'm Sophie and I live in Kingsford, a small town near the sea. There are lots of interesting places here. Next to my house there is a bakery, so we always have fresh bread for breakfast. The sports centre is opposite the train station, and I go swimming there on Tuesdays. On Saturday mornings I go to the library with my brother, because he loves comics.

There isn't a cinema in Kingsford, so when we want to see a film, we go to the city by train. It only takes twenty minutes!
