1. Where do snow leopards live?
The snow leopard

Snow leopards live in the mountains of Central Asia. It is very cold there and there is a lot of snow. Snow leopards have got thick grey fur with dark spots, so they are difficult to see on the rocks. They have got big, wide paws. Their paws work like snowshoes, so they do not sink in the snow. They have also got a very long tail. When they sleep, they wrap it around their body to keep warm. Snow leopards are carnivores: they hunt wild goats and sheep.

2. Why are snow leopards difficult to see?
